Here is an absolutely beautiful
set of six (6) greeting cards. The full-color illustration seen here of the Peacock was reproduced from the original
print featured in W.B. Tegetmeier's "The Poultry Book",
illustrated by Harrison Weir. The color prints for the book were done
by Leighton Brothers in London, who were also the printers and
publishers of the Illustrated London News between the years 1858 and
1885. The book itself was published by George Routledge and Sons, London, in 1867.
These lovely cards are printed on white glossy
card stock, which makes the illustration stand out so well on the cards
that many of our customers will use some to mail to family and friends
and others to frame and hang in their home or give as a special gift.
The image seen here fills completely the
entire front of the card while the inside of the card is blank and the
back contains a brief descriptive text about the art and artist. Each
card is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 folded, includes matching envelope and are
wrapped as a set in a protective and resealable polybag. The set is
shipped in a corrugated box.
Copyright
notice seen here on the image does not appear on the front of the
card but appears on the back bottom.
