Bird Illustration Greeting Cards - Leadbetter's Cockatoo, 6 Cards

Here we have an absolutely beautiful set of six (6) greeting cards. The full-color illustration seen here of  Leadbetter's Cockatoo was reproduced directly from vintage prints of tropical birds illustrated by John Gould (1804-1881), the genius behind the creation of 3,000 different hand-­colored lithographic plates of birds and animals. So beautiful are the prints that Gould created that today original editions sell for thousands of dollars each on the rare print market.

These lovely cards are printed on white glossy card stock, which makes the illustration stand out so well on the cards that many of our customers will use some to mail to family and friends and others to frame and hang in their home or give as a special gift.

The image seen here fills completely the entire front of the card while the inside of the card is blank and the back contains a brief descriptive text about the art and artist. Each card is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 folded, includes matching envelope and are wrapped as a set in a protective and resealable polybag.  Set is shipped in corrugated box.
